Description:

Pedro de Miguel classical guitar in Jose Ramirez style – this guitar combines excellent craftsmanship, quality materials, years of experience and love for music to an instrument of exceptional quality!

Who is behind the name Pedro de Miguel. The answer is simple: two great guitar makers: Pedro Pérez (1958-2008) and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (1960 – ), who worked for Ramirez before starting their own business.

At the age of fourteen, they both started working in José Ramírez’s workshop, where they first learned from the other guitar makers and later became Ramírez’s master guitar makers under the famous José Ramirez III.

After a few years, they opened their own workshop at 13 Amor de Dios Street in Madrid, where the “Pedro de Miguel” brand was born. Many of the famous Ramirez guitar makers did the same … Paulino Bernabe, Manuel Contreras, Felix Manzanero, Miguel Malo, Arturo Sanzano

This is one of their excellent classical guitars with fan bracing system, with a powerful, deep and colourful sound and best balance and sustain. Like the Spruce version this is a loud and powerful guitar.

Excellent Spanish made student guitar with fan bracing system, with a powerful, deep and colourful sound and best balance and sustain.

Woods are well seasoned and although a student model very selected in the workshop. The rosette and details of marquetry are of the highest quality.

In almost new condition bought by an extremely knowledgeable player to add to a collection featuring several Ramirez 1a, Pedro de Miguel guitars as well as Angel Benito Aguado etc hardly played due to the time pressures of playing all his other guitars etc

Playability is superb, clear, distinct Spanish bases, ringing trebles beautiful sustain across all registers. Their guitars are a Ramirez quality guitar without the pricey label, so the price makes this guitar literally a steal.

Condition Report:

This is one of eight guitars belonging to a professional guitarist now retiring. Over the years he has become a meticulous guitar collector with numerous guitars and a professional eye for selecting guitars and spotting a bargain in his travels.
